What pipe sizes and fittings does Control support?
Control fits ¾", 1", 1¼", 1½", and 2" pipe, in FNPT or Push-to-Connect fittings. It handles flow rates up to 10 GPM and operating pressure from 15–150 PSI.
Does it require a licensed plumber to install?
Control ties directly into the main water line, so it's typically installed by a licensed plumber — which makes it a natural, high-margin add-on to your service offering. StreamLabs also offers turn-key installation, or your facilities team can install it.
How fast does it shut off the water, and can it be controlled remotely?
It closes the valve within 15 seconds of detecting a leak. You get automatic, manual, and remote shut-off through the free StreamLabs app — so a leak can be stopped even after hours or over a weekend, whether anyone is on site or not.
How sensitive is the leak detection?
Control uses patented ultrasonic technology and can detect leaks as small as 0.1 GPM, plus abnormal flow patterns, using Learning Smart Alerts™ that adapt to each property's usage.
Is this suitable for commercial and multi-family properties?
