What does Scout detect?
Water presence, temperature, and humidity — with an audible on-device alarm plus real-time app alerts. It catches point-of-leak events, freeze-risk conditions, and humidity levels that can lead to mold.
Where should Scouts be placed?
Anywhere failures start: basements, laundry rooms, behind toilets, under sinks, near water heaters, next to sump pumps, and in AC condensate pans. Compact (2.76" × 2.95" × 0.95", 85g) so it tucks out of sight; available in black or white.
How many can I deploy per property?
As many as needed — all managed from one app. Scouts come in 1-, 3-, 5-, and 10-packs, and Pros can bulk order up to 50 per line for whole-building or portfolio deployments.
How is it powered and what's the battery life?
A user-replaceable CR123A battery lasts 15–18 months depending on use. An optional 3.3V line-power supply is available if there's an outlet nearby.
What accessories are available for tricky installs?
- Rope Cable (3 ft or 25 ft): detects water anywhere along the length — ideal for tight spaces or around a water heater.
- Point-of-Leak Cable (3 ft probe): pinpoints water in a specific spot.
- Wall Mount Sleeve: hides the device under a cabinet or behind a toilet when using the rope accessory.
- Power Cord: for line power near an outlet. All accessories are offered at your Pro tier pricing.
Does Scout work on its own or with other StreamLabs devices?
Both. It works standalone, or alongside a Control so water shuts off automatically when a Scout detects a leak — and with the Monitor for complete detection-plus-protection coverage.
