Does installation require cutting the pipe?
No. The Monitor uses ultrasonic technology and straps onto the existing pipe with no cutting and no tools — a 5-minute install that adds whole-property monitoring to any service call.
What pipe sizes and materials is it compatible with?
¾" and 1" CTS, on Copper (Schedule M & L), PEX, and CPVC. It automatically detects and calibrates to the pipe type and size.
How accurate is leak detection?
It detects low-flow leaks down to 0.25 GPM (0.5 GPM for Copper Type L), including behind-the-wall leaks, and sends custom Smart Alerts when usage looks abnormal. Accuracy can depend on pipe age, type, and setup.
Where can it be installed?
Indoor use only — or in a crawlspace, garage, shed, or a weatherproof NEMA enclosure away from UV exposure. Operating range is 40–80°F water temperature, 32–115°F ambient, up to 232 PSI.
Is it good for sub-metering commercial or multi-family units?
Yes — it reports water usage by the hour, day, and month with real-time and historical charts, making it ideal for sub-metering individual units and driving water conservation.
